This Painting was an exploration into my ancestors from the Slavic and Baltic regions of the world, using imagery from traditional symbolism and folk art to create a cross-generational link.
We all carry ancestral wounds which need healing, but we also have great strengths our forbearers have bestowed on us that we can harness and carry on throughout the passage of time.
This piece is a communication with all of our ancestors, both to heal the traumas as well as to share the acquired wisdom.
