Intro to Creating Sacred Geometry Mandalas

$55.00

WHERE: Private location, Canton GA

WHEN: Saturday, May 25th, 2024 4-7pm

Creating mandalas, hands down, is one of the best ways to get out of your busy or anxiety ridden mind, and tap into the creative flow as an active meditation.

Presented by artist and yoga teacher Jeannine Burgess, whose own mandala exploration has quite literally, brought her life full circle; combining her mutual loves for decorative painting and healing.

In this workshop, Jeannine will share some of the meditative and artistic techniques she uses in creating her own paintings, as well as additional information on the energetics of sacred geometry patterns- what they are and how they can be used.

You'll learn how to create the geometric structure, the bones of the piece, and you'll either create your own design, or depending on your creative confidence, work from one already prepared. You can customize them however you see fit.

We'll go over some of the foundational shapes, as well as some of Jeannine's own personal techniques in creating mandalas from these structures. You'll leave with your own piece you create during the workshop, but more importantly, you'll have the tools to create your own meditative artwork whenever you want.

Using watercolor and acrylic paints, colored pencils, and/or pastels on a template of the Flower of Life, you will be able to create your own 12x12" mixed-media expression of the universe.

This experience is for anyone who wants to tap into their own creativity as well as calm the body and mind through therapeutic arts... or for anyone who wants to play with shapes and colors! Allow your subconscious to surface, and create in a safe space for personal expression.

The unmistakable image of a mandala, or life wheel, is a representation of the universe through the use of sacred geometry. Throughout history and around the globe these images have been used as an act of worship or mediation. Often used as a personal tool for deeper connection, mandalas are meant to conjure emotions and energetic responses from the viewer. Each piece may resonate with a certain thought, emotion or physical sensation.
